Pave Solitaire with Compass Diamond Prongs

A pave solitaire engagement ring, hand fabricated in platinum. The center stone is set in an invisible or hidden halo and secured with pave set "diamond prongs" in a "compass" symmetric, NSEW orientation. This orientation of the prongs allows for the beautiful cut corners of the center stone to be visible which would have otherwise been hidden by the prongs. The design continues with a graceful cathedral band which is likewise pave set with diamonds.

PAVÉ

About pavé

The most traditional pavé with each diamond sitting between two polished metal walls which is sometimes termed bead set or channel set pave. The walls here are accented by "milgrain" beading which adds a vintage touch to the pave. The bright cut walls shield the diamonds' girdles from damage making it the most durable pavé and a natural fit for vintage-inspired designs.
